Biography

Thomas Lim began his career as an actor for Singapore theatre in 2000. He then moved to London in 2002 to study acting, and was awarded his Masters degree in Theatre Practices by Rose Bruford College in 2003.

Thomas has since worked on theatre productions in London, Hong Kong, Macau and Singapore. This includes a solo stage performance called The Rat-Ox Diaries in Hong Kong and Macau. In 2004, Thomas relocated to Beijing to act for TV and film. Most notably of his China projects was a TV series ‘The Game’, which Thomas played a principal role in. This TV series was aired nationwide in China in 2008, and also in Malaysia and Singapore in 2010.

Thomas then relocated to Macau in 2008 where he directed his first feature film ‘Roulette City’. This film achieved two theatrical runs at an independent cinema in Singapore called ‘Sinema Old School’ in 2010.

Thomas names traveling his one true love and has backpacked across 30 countries, including 16 provinces in China. Thomas' other passion is for Kung fu which interestingly, was the reason he started living in Beijing in 2004... to train in the Chinese art of fighting.
